VSFTPD DEAD BUT SUBSYS LOCKED

Please follow this procedure....

1. Remove the vsftpd lock from /var/lock/subsys/
2. In /etc/rc.d/init.d/ directory stop the xinetd daemon.
    ./xinetd stop
3. Now restart the vsftpd service
    service vsftpd restart
4. start the xinetd daemon again...
   ./xinetd start
